Dear Citizens of Atmore, Chamber Members, and Tourists:
Welcome to not only a new year 2020 but a NEW DECADE where grand adventures and boundless successes are around every corner. These opportunities are not only here at the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce but in our community-at-large. 2019 saw many projects come to fruition that paved the way for 2020 to be another fruitful and limitless year. Preparing for my time as your President it is impossible to not reflect on the past decades’ triumphs and challenges and feel anything other than encouraged. I am ready to see and be part of what the future holds for us!

Growing up outside of Birmingham, Alabama I never knew what it was like to live and grow in a small town. It never occurred to me that a whole town can celebrate together, they can mourn together, and together they can accomplish the impossible. This could not have been more perfectly evident than in 2019, the spirit and future of Atmore is alive and very well. The benefit and personal attention one can only find on Main Street is real. To know the store owners by name, purchase presents on your lunch break, enjoy dinner out with friends, and never meet a stranger is something magical and an experience everyone should know. Atmore is more than a name, it is more than an intersection, it is a town to live in, work in, play in, grow-up in, and invest in. Atmore is a future!
To those who are old and new or just passing through I hope you too can feel the change in energy in the Atmore area. Continued growth through strategic and measurable impact is our goal for the upcoming year. Through workforce development, business growth and education, and enhanced Programs of Work your Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce is ready to meet the needs of its Trustees, Members, Business Owners, and community residents. Ensuring our members and community are provided usable tools and resources to reach their individual business goals and ultimately help make their dream a reality.
In closing, I am grateful for our endearing Town of Atmore and the opportunity to enter my Chamber Presidency with enthusiasm and great expectations ready to serve, listen, and meet the challenges ahead necessary to achieve our goals. I am confident this year will be a year of great and many blessings for Atmore and those who call her home. While together we continue to build on the tremendous legacy we have been entrusted with and pave the way towards tomorrow’s opportunities so all can know the magic of Main Street and #DiscoverAtmore.
